My Story
My path into health coaching was shaped by lived experience. At 36, I went through cancer treatment and surgical menopause — a life-altering chapter that fundamentally changed my understanding of what health and wellbeing truly mean.
Health coaching became the missing piece for me. It helped me navigate complex health challenges and discover what wellbeing could look and feel like, even alongside a diagnosis — not just in the moment, but in a way that supported my future too.
My professional background spans physiotherapy, health advocacy, and education. I trained as a health and wellness coach to intentionally bring together evidence-based practice, a coaching approach, and lived experience — filling a gap I had felt personally and saw repeatedly in others.
Today, I feel privileged to support people in finding clarity, confidence, and sustainable strategies that honour their unique health journeys. I have a particular interest in working with those living with chronic conditions, navigating cancer or major life transitions, and those seeking the transformative benefits of moving their body more!
“I believe that true & lasting wellness is achieved when an individual’s unique values and strengths are at the core of their journey to hauora (holistic health). By combining self-compassion with evidence-based behaviour science my coaching approach supports individuals to deepen their self-awareness, discover their health potential, and develop sustainable strategies to transform and maintain their wellbeing into the future.” Emily
